As You Are Going

June 15, 2026

Scripture: Matthew 28:18–20 Jesus sends His followers to make disciples, using His authority and presence.

Imagine This…

Imagine opening your calendar and realizing it is not just a schedule.

It is a map.

Every appointment, errand, meeting, meal, conversation, and repeated rhythm places you near people. We often see those moments as tasks to complete. Jesus invites us to see them as places He is sending us to.

What Is There to Learn?

When Jesus says, “Go…make disciples,” He is not only speaking to missionaries or pastors.
He is sending ordinary disciples into ordinary life.

  1. Jesus Has All Authority.
Our confidence does not come from personality, knowledge, or boldness. We go because the risen Christ reigns.
  2.
  3. Disciple-Making Happens As We Go.
God works through normal conversations, repeated relationships, shared meals, and consistent presence.
  4.
  5. Jesus Goes With Us.
His promise, “I am with you always,” means no ordinary place is spiritually empty when we enter it with Him.

Bold Steps of Faith

  • Look at your calendar as a mission map, not just a task list.
  •
  • Identify one repeated relationship God may be inviting you to invest in.
  •
  • Ask one thoughtful question instead of rushing through the conversation.
  •
  • Practice being more present, prayerful, and available.

Reflection Questions

  1. Who do I keep seeing that I may not be truly noticing?
  2.
  3. What ordinary rhythm could become more intentional this week?
  4.
  5. How can I represent Jesus as I go?

Prayer

“Jesus, help me see my ordinary rhythms as places You are sending me. Give me Your presence, purpose, and love as I go.”
