Come and Hear What the Lord has Done for My Soul

March 31st, 2026
Psalm 66:13–20
There’s a difference between talking about faith…
and talking about what God has actually done in your life.
One is general.
The other is personal.
And most people can tell the difference.
The psalmist doesn’t say, “Come and hear what I believe.”
He says:
“Come and hear… what God has done for my soul.”
That’s not theory.
That’s testimony.
It’s not polished.
It’s not abstract.
It’s lived.
He speaks of:
- crying out to God
- walking through difficulty
- experiencing deliverance
- and responding with worship
In other words, his faith wasn’t formed in comfort—it was forged in real life.
And that’s what makes it compelling.
Because people aren’t just looking for answers.
They’re looking for something real.
A confident storyteller doesn’t pretend to have it all together.
They simply point to where God has met them.
Not perfectly.
But honestly.
Not to impress—
but to invite.
Because your story, when it’s rooted in what God has actually done,
becomes a doorway for someone else to consider what God might do for them.
This Week
- Take time to reflect: Where has God specifically worked in your life?
- Write down one moment where you saw His faithfulness clearly
- Share that story with one person—simply, honestly, without pressure
Key Insight
Personal testimony carries weight because it is rooted in lived experience, not borrowed belief.
Questions to Consider
- Where have you personally experienced God’s work in your life?
- What part of your story do you tend to overlook or minimize?
- What makes sharing your story feel uncomfortable or risky?
- Who in your life might need to hear what God has done for your soul?
🔹 Kingdom Platform Application: Sharing Your Story in Everyday Spaces
Most people won’t respond to a presentation.
But they will listen to a story.
Kingdom Platform Move:
Bring your personal story into your everyday relationships.
Where this plays out:
- Workplace →
Share naturally when conversations turn toward life challenges or stress - Neighborhood →
Open up about how your faith has shaped your decisions or perspective - Friendships / Third spaces →
Speak honestly about what God has done, not just what you believe
Practical Example:
Someone shares a struggle, and instead of offering quick advice, you say:
"I’ve had a season like that—can I tell you what helped me and how God met me in it?"
Why it matters:
Stories lower defenses.
Your platform becomes a place where people don’t just hear about God—
They see what He does in real lives.
Identity Statement
Because God is actively at work in our lives, we become people who humbly share what He has done for our souls.
In His deep provision,
Pastor Brad.
