Let Your Light Shine

Matthew 5:14-16

A Visible Faith

There’s a version of faith that stays private.

Safe.
Contained.
Unnoticed.

But Jesus never described it that way.

“You are the light of the world…”

Not hidden.
Not isolated.

Visible.

Not for attention—
but for impact.

A selfless friend lives in a way that:

  • reflects integrity.
  •
  • demonstrates kindness.
  •
  • embodies good works.

And over time, people begin to notice.

Not just what you believe—
But how you live.

And that becomes a bridge.

Because when faith is visible,
Hope becomes tangible.

This Week

  • Look for one opportunity to serve in a visible, practical way
  •
  • Let your actions reflect your faith without forcing words
  •
  • Trust that God uses consistent obedience over time

Key Insight

Good works are not about being seen—they are about helping others see God.

Questions to Consider

  1. Where is your faith currently visible to others?
  2.
  3. What holds you back from living your faith more openly?
  4.
  5. Who might be impacted by your consistent example?
  6.
  7. What is one way you can “shine” this week?

Identity Statement

Because we are sent as visible witnesses, we become people whose lives reflect the goodness and glory of God.

Kingdom Platform Application: Visible Good Works

Some people will never walk into a church.

But they will watch your life.

Kingdom Platform Move:
Make your faith visible through consistent action.

Where this plays out:

  • Workplace  Be known for integrity, reliability, and encouragement
  •
  • Neighborhood  Initiate acts of service that others can see and feel
  •
  • Community spaces  Volunteer, serve, and engage publicly

Practical Example:
You consistently show up early, help others succeed, and speak encouragement—over time, people begin asking why.

Why it matters:
Visibility builds credibility.

Your platform becomes a living picture of the gospel.

In His grace,

Pastor Brad.
